Hair Show Run

Hey my beauties! I have been off the blog because yours truly has been all over the States (well not all of them), learning and growing in my craft. I had two really exciting trips where I got front row seating in seeing beauty professionals learn and grow in their businesses.

The first trip was in Austin, Texas for Sola Sessions. Sola Salons hosts a hairshow just for us sola professionals where we can learn about business, technique and growth mindset. This show is all things highend and advance. We learn from the best of the best in the industsry, business coaches like Tabitha Coffey, Nina Tulio, Sarai Speer, and my own friend and coach Dawn Bradley. Dawn was actually the emcee of the entire event and I got a chance to see the inner workings of what it takes to put on a show of this magnitude. I learned a lot about the frustrations of where a lot of stylists are and how little we as creatives know about the business side of what we do. It was very fascinating to know I’m not the only beauty professional that has doubts on if I’m doing the right things that’s best for business. There were also MAJOR brands on hand that showed up to give new techniques in hair trends and product knowledge, companies like Wella, Olaplex, Moroccan Oil, Paul Mitchell and more. By the end of it all my brain was one giant noodle, but what I learned about the possibility of growing and serving more is priceless.

Now, you would think that was enough, however, yours truly decided to doubleback and attend one more show. I found myself in Las Vegas one week later at the International Beauty Show, IBS for short and before you double check we made fun of that acronym every chance we got! It was the inside joke of the entire weekend. I was apart of Team Dawn Bradley where we were able to meet MORE beauty professioals that want to get it right. Dawn taught 6 classes where there were anywhere between 70-130 beauty professionals in attendance for each class. It was so beautiful and inspiring to see the difference Dawn is making and I’m very excited to see where she leads this industry and I’m VERY honored to be apart of it all.

Needless to say I’ve walked away feeling inspired and more focused on what I need to do to grow my business and provide more value to my clients. It was exhausting for sure but worth every moment!

Until next time…SMOOCHES!!!
