Rachel’s Favorite Things
Hey my beauties! It is shopping season and if you’re looking for the right gift for yourself or a loved one I’ve put together a good list of products and tools that you frequently ask me about. I will add where to find these items, but please for the love of God DO NOT purchase any of these items on Amazon! Amazon is notorious for having counterfeit/expired products and tools when it comes to beauty products. Without further ado here are some of my favorite things:
Best shampoo and conditioner lines: This one is a toss up between Amika and Innersense. Both lines offer a wide range to help with any hair need. Both use sustainable, natural ingredients. Both are made in the USA, so that makes them less likely to be impacted by possible tariffs. You can find Amika products at Sephora and Innersense you can find at Ulta. Amika’s price point starts at $26 and Innersense starts at $28.
Best Detangling Spray: This one goes to my FAVORITE detangling spray of all time…Unite 7Second detangling spray. Not only does this spray smell AMAZEBALLS, it’s also lightweight. It literally melts away tangles making it so easy to comb through your hair. You can find this product at the salon or Ulta. If you pick it up in the salon it’s $35 and at Ulta it’s $38.
Best Blowdryer: This is no secret…DYSON!!! You all know I’m OBSESSED with my Dyson blowdryer. It is pricey BUT it will last you a long time. My dryer in the salon last about 2-3 years and I use it multiple times a day. It’s worth the splurge to make your hair healthier and cut down on your blowdrying time. You can purchase in person at Best Buy for $329 or Dyson’s website $329. Both of these are holiday sales as they usually retail for $430
Best Frizz Control: This product came on the scene and shocked even the most hardcore skeptic, including ME! ColorWOW Dream Coat is an anti-frizz, anti-humectant spray. You spray it on your hair before you blowdry because the key ingredient is heat activated. This product leaves the hair shiny with a “glass” like finish which lasts up to 4 shampoos. You can find ColorWOW Dream Coat at Sephora with a price range of $12-$58
Best Flat Iron/Curling Iron: This one is a brand that I love for both flat irons and curling irons and the brand is Bioionic. This brand is created for hairstylists by hairstylists, so that’s code for they nerd out on best technology to perform well AND keep the hair as healthy as possible. You can find Bioionic products at Ulta. The price point is a range of $149-$167.
Best Hair Serum/Oil: This one is also not a secret but drum roll…Alfaparf Semi Di Lino Cristalli Liquidi. This oil is lightweight but gives maximum impact in providing instant shine with it’s key ingredient flaxseed oil, lubricate and heal the cuticles and reduce frizz with vitamin E, and provides heat protection for up to 446 degrees. I’ve used this oil in the salon for over 10 years and will always be my go to as far as oils on the market goes. You can find this oil on my website www.Rachel-Olivia.com or purchase in the salon.
